- Title
What Is the Text? Who Is the Reader? A Meditation on Meanderings of Meaning.
- Authors
Swearingen, C. Jan
- Abstract
This article describes how the study of the text and construction of literary works, and of histories of the book, has become as prominent as the study of literature itself. It explores the way in which professors and authors present text and its meanings to readers, and how the replacement of literature by text will affect criticism and interpretation.
