- Abstract
The article offers information on a study which determined whether 1-carbon metabolism factors are related with the onset of lung cancer. About 519,978 participants from 10 countries were recruited between 1992 and 2000 to participate in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC). Main outcome measure is odd ratio (OR) of lung cancer by serum levels of vitamin B 2, vitamin B 6, folate and vitamin B 12, methionine and homocysteine. A discussion on the research findings is also detailed.
