- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the impact of methyltetrahydrofolate (MTHFR) C677T variant on homocysteine (Hcy) cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma levels and the potential link between MTHFR and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Particular focus is given to the study's exclusion criteria. Topics discussed include Hcy levels in ALS patients, correlation between CSF and plasma Hcy, and the distribution of MTHFR C577T in ALS patients.
