- Abstract
An editorial is presented on various studies about subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE), a progressive neurologic disorder caused by measles virus. It mentions various studies about the risk of the disease's development in the U.S. from 1989-1991 which was occurred during the resurgence of measles in the country. It discusses the benefits provided by the studies in preventing the disease such as making the SSPE prevention as an advocacy tool to promote vaccination among infants.
