- Abstract
The article presents a study on bubble dynamics in foam injection molding process. The study used high-speed recording system to monitor the behavior of bubble growth and collapse under differing holding pressure and growth time intervals. Results show that the collapse behavior depends on both the exerted holding pressure and the growth time. A proposed model shows a more evident cell collapse at a shorter delay time and higher holding pressure and could give insight to the control of cell size in injection foaming process.
