- Abstract
The article presents a study that compares the cytotoxicity of butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) and its methylcarbamate derivatives on the liver cells of mice. The study is undertaken through the use of Fischer-344 rats and isolating them by collagenase perfusion of the liver. The results of the study indicate that BHT causes the loss of cellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in mice.
