- Abstract
The Great Union was the fitting climax of a national wave which had not stopped until a dream for ages came true: the reunification of Romanians in a single state. However, after the euphoria surrounding the moment of the Great Union, the true challenges which the Romanian unitary state had to face, were revealed. Therefore, any kind of differences found among the provinces which had unified with Romania generated a large number of problems in relation to the adoption of certain unitary solutions, which should be applicable for the entire Romanian territory. Maybe one of the first problems of a particular importance was represented by the unification of legislations within the entire Romanian territory, considering that the recently unified provinces had systems of law different from one another
