- Abstract
The consensus in the literature is that bipolar disorder is seasonal. We argue that there is finer detail to seasonality and that changes in mood and energy in bipolar disorder are dictated by the rate of change of solar insolation. Focusing on the rate of change in solar insolation may have important implications for clinicians who care for BD patients.
