- Abstract
The authors calls for the effective implementation of knowledge sharing during public health emergencies following the Zika virus and Ebola virus outbreaks. They emphasize the need to put in place frameworks for collecting, managing and making available quality, standardized data and for safely securing and sharing biomaterial collected during the outbreak. They discuss the importance of transparent, ethical principles to guide data collection and future use of data and biomaterials.
