- Abstract
This study is a brief report on the antennae of selected moths occurring in the Mangalore University Campus at Mangala Gangotri, Karnataka. Antennae from moths were fixed in alcohol, dehydrated and subjected to SEM study. Eight moths belonging to six families, including both diurnal and nocturnal were included. Morphology of antennal sensilla when studied was found to show variations, with sensilla trichoidea observed in all moths studied. The diurnal moths showed Bhom's bristles and scales arranged differently, while in nocturnal ones, scales and sensilla chaetica were observed.
