- Abstract
The article discusses several court cases dealing with mechanic's liens filed by contractors for work and materials provided by them during building constructions. It discusses the Missouri Court of Appeals case Grau Contracting Inc. v. Captiva Lake Investments LLC, which involved the bank's construction loan, foreclosed on the deed of trust. Other topics include plaintiff's vested right to punitive damages, forum selection clause in contract and Massachusetts rule in slip and fall cases.
