- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigated the short-term effects of early postoperative insulin-resistance in obese patients who underwent sleeve gastrectomy (SG). It is stated that there is a significant reduction of serum glucose and insulin concentration among the control group of overweight and diabetic patients. The results of anthropometric and metabolic modifications in SG group including serum glucose and serum insulin levels are discussed.
