- Abstract
The article presents the author's perspectives on the study regarding the efficacy and safety of furazolidone therapy for Helicobacter pylori infection. The author states that the reported side-effects incidence in the study would seem much higher than that discovered accompanying a simpler levofloxacin-based second-line triple therapy. The author says that esomeprazole is the most pricey proton pump inhibitor, and the dose applied in the study was doubled that was proposed in the literature.
