- Abstract
The article presents advice for special education teachers surrounding incontinence among students with disabilities. The authors assert that all teachers who work with disabled students should have both an understanding of the medical and personal issues involved with incontinence as well as an in-place plan of action to enact after incidents. Topics addressed include technical knowledge of clean-up procedures, open communication with parties involved, and prevention of bullying by peers.
