- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effects of odors on sustained attention during a long-term task in humans. Two essential oils such as lavender and eucalyptus and two main components of lavender and peppermint were compared with a control. Results of experiments showed that lavender demonstrated a slow reaction span compared to the control and it can help restrain the vigilance of task.
