- Abstract
The article offers information on the advantage of sodium alginate when used in the pathological work-up of the endoscopically resected mucosal lesions. It states that sodium alginate's simple gelation with divalent cations in room temperature, cheapness, and harmlessness, is among its advantages. It notes that embedding endoscopically resected mucosa in its entirety within sodium alginate gel is an effective treatment to get slices of even thickness.
