- Authors
STEWART, ROSEMARY; WHITE, MICHAEL
- Abstract
The article focuses on the classification of the effects that computer applications have on management. It states that the classifications were developed to provide a framework to help describing aspects of case studies concerning the development of computer applications and their effect on management, and also to enable researchers to distinguish general characteristics of using computers. It also states that the classifications are standard aspects of introducing computer systems, types of applications, and associated changes. It comments on aspects of standardization that has arisen through available technology and talks about the effects of the process of changing from non-computer to computer methods, as well as the effects of operating with computers.
