In 1940 he entered Dartmouth College where he explored possible careers in psychology, botany and forestry. He college career was abruptly halted when he was drafted into the army in 1940. During the authors visit to his home there was a sense of creative energy and zest of life only found in the persons of his caliber and liking. The authors came to know that the cost for his creativity was mainly dedication and hard work.
