- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined the association between human plasma monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (cMCP-1) and insulin resistance and compared monocyte chemoattractant protein- 1 (MCP- 1) adipose tissue gene expression and cMCP-1. cMCP-1 was measured in control male subjects. Real-time polymerase chain reaction was used to measure gene expression. The study found that cMCP-1 was not associated with insulin sensitivity.
