- Abstract
This article discusses a study that examines the relationship between whole-genome doubling (WGD) and different types of cancer. The study analyzes data from 10 cancer types and identifies three types of WGD tumors. The researchers also identify specific genetic signatures associated with WGD in different types of cancer and suggest potential therapeutic targets for WGD tumors. The study was supported by grants and the authors have no conflicts of interest. Further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of these targeted therapies.
