- Abstract
The article discusses historical landscapes in motion pictures. Particular focus is given to the movies “Not Giddy Yet Aerial” and “The North Wind” which take place in England, in the Lake District national park and an area of the West Yorkshire moors known as “Brontē Country,” respectively. Works on the concept of "landscape" by anthropologists Tim Ingold and Katrín Lund, and phenomenological philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty's theories of perception are also discussed.
