- Abstract
This article discusses a high-throughput sequence analysis of a myeloid translocation gene-related protein 2 gene (CBFA2T3) in a case of acute erythroid leukemia with the translocation t(1;16)(p31;q24). The analysis revealed a specific fusion involving the CBFA2T3 gene and the nuclear factor I/A gene. It concludes that the knowledge of the specific functions of the fusion gene may eventually form a starting point from which therapeutic attempts may begin.
