- Abstract
The author reflects on the new agents for preventing stroke in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation. The authors state the new agents to prevent stroke in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation including the dabigatran, rivaroxaban, and apixaban. They discuss some factors to be considered in drug use which include the renal function, drug interactions, and anticoagulation management. Several advantages and disadvantages for preventing stroke in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation are offered.
