- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the approach used by a school district in Texas to try and implement acceleration for mathematically talented fifth grade students. It reports how the district became aware of their students' mathematical needs, how they initially identified the students most in need of acceleration, and how they implemented an appropriate accelerative option across the five elementary schools.
