- Abstract
The article offers information on trigonotarbids, a species of the class arachnida of the phylum arthropods. As stated, trigonotarbids were amongst the earliest and most important predators in the nascent terrestrial communities of the Silurian period. Their body is split into two halves in which the anterior half is covered by the carapace. Fossil evidence has proved that trigonotarbids were present in some of the earliest terrestrial ecosystems and lived on land.
