An interview with Diane F. Halpern, professor of psychology and director of the Berger Institute for Work, Family and Children at Claremont McKenna College in California, is presented. When asked about the best way to develop a successful psychology research program, she refers to the trait of being persistent. Halpern states that the social issues that psychology should address include the idea of reducing prejudice and international conflicts. She also discusses graduate school.
