- Abstract
The author discusses the genomic data sharing for scientific research and medical progress and the experience of the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC). According to him open access to genomic data is becoming common for large-scale publicly funded community science projects. He informs that ICGC has established two bodies including the Data Access Compliance Office and an International Data Access Committee for data access control.
