- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 40-year-old female patient with generalized eczema resistant to topical and oral steroids. She underwent patch testing and was sensitized to formaldehyde (+ at D2 and ++ at D3), and nickel sulfate (+ at D2 and D3). It mentions that patch testing with the Lonicera extract resulted to negative in 15 controls. The study showed that the "preservative-free" statement could be mislead if plant-derived materials were utilized as preservatives.
