- Abstract
The article presents information on the comparative sensitivity of dot blot methods used to detect renibacterium salmoninarum. Recently, immunoenzyme assays have been developed to detect fish pathogens. A variation of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is the dot blot method. In this study, the sensitivity of the dot blot method was compared with that of the direct and indirect immunoenzyme methods, using either peroxidase-antiperoxidase or the avidin-biotin peroxidase complex. The advantages of these methods are discussed.
