- Abstract
The article discusses computer modeling and iterative simulation to improve capacity for color-filter (CF) fabs. A simulation model is presented that can be used to predict idle periods of a multi-domain vertical alignment (MVA) equipment, and can be the basis for both the release planning and capacity planning. The proposed iterative Simulation-Based Release (ISR) policy for CF fabs reduced idle-time by more than 60 percent and throughput improvement of more than two percent.
