The article explores how foreign shocks affect Great Britain macro financial stability integrated into the global trade and financial systems. Topics include Monitoring foreign developments and maintaining the ‘safe openness' of the Great Britain economy and financial system underpins the Bank of England's efforts; and Bank of England continues to work with international authorities to ensure resilience to shocks, including in relation to vulnerabilities highlighted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
