- Abstract
The article reports on the recommendation of Bellagio Essential Surgery Group to the National and International Agency to take priority on surgical services in Sub-Saharan Africa. According to World Health Organization (WHO), 46% of births are attended by skilled personnel in the region compared with 96% in Europe, a situation which pushes the organization to push through the recommendation. It cites that the organization is calling to NGOs and professionals to support the advocacy.
