- Abstract
Objective : To investigate the application of traditional Chinese medicine injections (TCM I) for promoting blood circulation and removing stasis in the People' s Hospital of Shanghai Pudong New District,so as to provide scientific evidence for rational use of the injections. Methods : Retrospective analysis was made on the consumption sum,the frequency of medication (DDDs),daily drug cost (DDC),prescription comments and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) of TCM I for promoting blood circulation and removing stasis used in the hospital from 2012 to 2014. Results :The consumption sum of the said injection increased year by year from 2012 to 2014. In 2012,there were 5 drugs that had the consumption ratio (the order of consumption sum /the order of DDDs) of about 1(0.8-1.2),accounting for 35.71%, while there were 7 drugs (accounting for 505) and 6 drugs (accounting for 42.86%) in 2013 and 2014,respectively. Prescription comments indicated that there still existed such irrational problems as off-label use, over-dosage, wrong use of solvents and excessively long treatment course. Conclusion : Clinical application of TCM I should be based on the principle of TCM I clinical use and should be used rationally according to package inserts.
