- Abstract
The article offers information on the York Mason parasacrococcygeal transsphinteric approach for the treatment of recto-urinary fistulae. It states that the technique was first formulated by Doctor Aubrey York Mason and was published in 1970. It also tells that the surgical procedure enables convenient access to the anterior of the rectal wall without excessive blood loss or incontinence. Moreover, step-by-step illustrations of the procedure are highlighted.
