- Abstract
The article presents a study on spatial congruency of taxonomic groups including benthic diatoms, invertebrates, and macrophyte. The study uses the Monte Carlo method and principal component analysis (PCA) to examine the congruence patterns of the taxonomic group, wherein the latter showed that single gradient in diversity was absent in lowland or mountain streams. Moreover, the relations between fish diversity and macrophytes serve as alternate indicators for other taxonomic groups.
