- Abstract
In the process of drying and dehydration, soil tends to shrink and produce cracks. The formation of cracks is the result of the combined action of soil properties and external conditions. In this paper, the evolution of the distribution of surface fractures in the process of soil drying is studied by using the two-dimensional digital image method, and the research progress in the factors affecting the generation of fractures, the characterization indexes of fractures and the determination methods are summarized and summarized. The results show that the length, width, area and fractal dimension of fractures tend to increase as the drying process continues, while the distribution of fractures tends to be uniform. In the future, it is necessary to further strengthen the comprehensive and in-depth study of fracture generation mechanism, construct and improve the three-dimensional fracture index system and its measurement method, and promote the simulation experiment research.
