- Abstract
Despite the decrease on the incidence of tuberculosis throughout the 20th century, such disease remains as a health issue around the world. The actual frequency of GTb in Mexico is unknown. We communicated two cases where the diagnostic was other than Genitourinary Tuberculosis and in both cases tuberculosis was the cause of the sintomatology. We emphatize the importance of the clinical manifestations to come up with a diagnosis, i.e., long period of evolution, bladder irritation, microscopic or macroscopic hematuria and kidney pain which origin is unclear. We also highlight the importance of the lab exams to support the diagnosis. We strongly encourage new generations of urologists to bear in mind the existence of this disease and the related difficulties for its diagnosis.
