The article discusess the impact of Supreme Court of Texas court case, Lightning Oil Co. v. Anadarko E&P Onshore, LLC on off-lease horizontal drilling. It informs that in the case mineral estate owner filed a subsurface trespass cause of action in an attempt to enjoin Anadarko from continuing its off-lease horizontal drilling operations that were designed to traverse through Lightning's mineral bearing formations.
