- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 53-year-old white male with decompensated alcoholic cirrhosis and portal hypertension (MELD 24, Child Pugh C) presented with a large anterior abdominal wall haematoma. His past medical history included type 2 diabetes, hypertension, colorectal cancer and a non-strangulated abdominal wall hernia and Definitive surgical management was performed on Day 11 with evacuation of the haematoma, The patient was discharged from hospital on Day 40.
