- Abstract
An editorial is presented that argues in favor of a U.S. regulatory structure created by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concerning tobacco products in general and electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) in particular in the name of public health. It proposes removing flavors from tobacco products, establishing a uniform e-cigarette liquid product standard, and eliminating a loophole in the e-cigarette cartridge standard to decrease the appeal of e-cigarettes to younger consumers.
