- Title
THE WEATHER IN ENGLAND AND WALES.
- Abstract
This article briefly describes the weather in England and Wales in 1964. March was generally cold, dull and wet with some snow over most of the country in the middle of the month. July and August were dry months, the weather being generally of an anticyclonic character, although temperatures were mainly average or below except for a warm spell during the third week of July. By the end of the season earth temperatures were very near the average, but owing to the dry weather of July and August, soil moisture deficits were considerable over most of the country.
