- Abstract
The objective this research was evaluate the influence of different organic compounds the cultivation of cherry tomatoes, as well as to relate field research and rural development to family farming. The experimental design was a completely randomized design, with 8 replications and 5 treatments: soil, cattle manure, bokashi, organic compost and earthworm humus, in a proportion of 20% between organic compounds and 80% of soil. Initially the seedlings were produced in tubes, then transferred to 8L pots filled with Dystrophic Red Latosol. The parameters evaluated were: titratable acidity (ATT), soluble solids (TSS), ratio, longitudinal and transverse diameter (DL and DT), number and average weight / total fruit per plant. And through questionnaires the possibilities of using these compounds were studied in small rural properties, in which family farming is practiced. The use of different organic compounds did not promote significant differences regarding SST, ATT, ratio and DT. As for the number and average / total weight the fruits per plant, DL and total productivity presented significant differences, highlighting the treatments cattle manure, bokashi and earthworm humus. Based on the interviews, there was great acceptance and interest on the part of family farmers in the alternative use of organic compounds.
