- Authors
Fred, Herbert L.
- Abstract
The author emphasizes the importance of training to the field of medicine. He relates the Air France Flight 447 accident that killed 228 people aboard, and argues that the accident could have been prevented if the pilots were well trained in aircraft flying. He notes that the health care industry is facing training challenges that are similar to the airline industry. The author adds that adequate training can address the deficiencies of computers and other technological applications.
