- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 45-year-old woman who was presented to the emergency department with confusion, agitation, and chest pain. Her clinical examination revealed elevated levels of isopropyl alcohol, and acetone with negligible levels of ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, and ethylene glycol. The article discusses misdiagnosis of isopropyl alcohol intoxication with alcoholic ketoacidosis as ethyl or methyl alcohol or ethylene glycol intoxication.
