- Abstract
The article discusses infection control in hearing aid dispensing practice. Infection control aims to reduce cross-contamination to minimize the spread of diseases. Microorganisms could be transmitted through direct contact, indirect contact and droplet transmission. Some of recommendations by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for infection control are the use of personal protective equipment, hand hygiene and sterilization of equipment.
