- Title
Ubuntu como precepto ético del nuevo Estado sudafricano.
- Authors
García Pernía, Nelson
- Abstract
As an ethical rule towards a balanced coexistence, in its broadest sense Ubuntu (word of origin Zulu and Xhosa) is manifested in the loyalty of people and their consequent social relationships. After the dismantling of apartheid in South Africa, the process of transition to the new State was characterized by the reconciliation and recognition among victims and victimizers that left the system of racial segregation, with the Commission of Truth and Reconciliation being responsible for incorporating traditional precepts to channel hatred in a society that had been configured on marked racial lines.
