- Title
Physiologia Plantarum Volume 100.
- Abstract
The journal "Physiologia Plantarum" was founded 50 years ago to serve as a link of communication among plant physiologists of the Nordic countries. Perhaps, in part, the inspiration to create a journal concerned with plant function and structure had its origins in the awareness that Scandinavians have of their environment, However, if publication of a scientific journal were conditional upon a strong foundation, then there can be no doubt that the exceptionally strong pre- and post- Linnaean scientific base with which the Nordic countries are endowed was a major factor in this journal's inception.
