- Title
Calcium-dependent regulation of voltage-gated sodium channels in cardiac myocytes: just the beginning?
- Authors
Yuill, Kathryn H.; Smirnov, Sergey V.
- Abstract
The authors discuss the study "Na+ Channel Regulation by Ca2+/Calmodulin and Ca2+Calmodulin-Dependent Protein Kinase II in Guinea-pig Ventricular Mycocytes," by T. Alba and colleagues. According to the authors, a number of ion channels is regulated by Ca2+-binding protein calmodulin (CaM). They also talk about voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSCs).
