Turning up the heat on colorectal cancer.
- Authors
Chan, Andrew T
- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the study of C. Dorard and colleagues on the role of a mutation in chaperone heat shock protein 110 (HSP110)'s microsatellite on colorectal cancer (CRC) survival. He says that mutant protein HSP110ΔE9 was identified by Dorard and colleagues as one which is linked to improved survival from microsatellite instability (MSI) CRC. He suggests that the results of the study can be an initial step in attaining near-term objective of MSI status application.
