- Abstract
The article offers information on the role of organotypic skin culture techniques in in vitro studies. It further emphasizes on the implications of epidermis and hair follicle in in vitro systems. It states the future uses to stimulate human skin disease and study their mechanisms. Further discussed are limitations of the organotypic hair follicle cultures. It notes that artificial skin can be used for screening therapeutic potential of new drugs on human tissues.
